Spirit Eggs I and II are the last of a series of wood and alabaster eggs in glass nests.  Eggs that will never hatch in nests that can never nurture.  This series is done as a tribute to the Year of the Bird, 2018, and a lament over the environtmentaly destructive acts by the EPA under the current administration.

At the same time, cancer was discovered residing in my body. Thanks to early detection and surgury I worked through this first encounter. I found this series of paintings providing hope for the birds and for me culminating in the two Spirit Egg paintings.
